Team Blitz is quickly becoming the New York Yankees of the Shamrock Marathon.
The Williamsburg-based team won its third consecutive men’s team title in the event Sunday at a chilly Virginia Beach oceanfront as part of the 35th annual Shamrock Sportsfest. In the process, Team Blitz placed three runners in the top 15 overall.
Trevor Cable led Team Blitz by finishing seventh overall with a time of two hours, 28 minutes and 50 seconds. Tommy Antenucci’s time of 2:32.37 was good enough for ninth, and George Ingham finished 10th, completing the 26.2 mile course in just over two hours, 34 minutes.
